Thanks for the compliment! I have a 12 year collection of creative commons stock - that's a big one. Color training for years on Colourlovers.com also helps. I use Photoshop and Pixlr. I'm not an expert by any means. I only started creating my own stuff in the past year. For the longest time I just admired from afar...gathering up inspiration! 
I'm a Paint.NET and Processing heavy.
I switched OS on my PC and Processing does works on Linux. I'm trying to use Wine to get Paint.NET working (it's a Windows application).
